Je crois que j'ai au moins compris le message, même si je n'ai pas compris s'ils jouaient tous ensemble au même moment ou si c'était un montage. En tout cas, merci pour cette découverte ! (Et je suis pour une explication, si tu l'as.)

Mais pour un début de réponse, j'ai donc découvert ça en introduction d'une conférence sur le sujet "Augmenter l'espace public", c'est notre prof de projet qui l'a passée! Vraiment trop fort ce prof ^^

Music to change the world… Again

Since 2005, a musical movement named: “Playing for change” is on the rise on the internet
“Playing for Change” brings together artists from all over the world. The Irish singer: Bono and the French artist: Manu Chao have already participated to the project.
Beyond the cultural aspect of this initiative, “Playing for Change” involves itself a lot into humanitarian activities.


Create positive social change through music that is the aim of the “Playing for change” Foundation. Now managed by a professional team in the humanitarian field, this foundation is especially well-known because of his group of musicians which believes that peace becomes possible through a universal language: music.
It deals with providing a safe place to learn music for children in countries where extreme poverty doesn’t let cultural creativity express itself fully. The foundation bases her philosophy on the supposed good impact that music can have over the world.

To give cultural consistence to this project, Mark Johnson has clearly become the man who “mixes” the world. “Playing for Change” began 6 years ago.

Mark Johnson was walking by when he bumped into Roger Ridley singing “Stand by me” with such passion and energy that he astounded everyone who crossed his way.

Mark recorded Roger, and decided to add other soundtracks from musicians all around the world, mixing them with cleverness. “Playing for change” was born.

Playing music together is now possible whatever the place we are in, in the world. The growth of this musical movement accredits the fact that from a cultural point of view; we are confronted to the new Internet musical movement. Whatever the implication, this idea could clearly change the way to play music in band.

Just good intentions
There remain some failures that we cannot pass out. The project to change the world with music is laudable, but it seems clearly that “Playing for change” suffers from a lack of originality within its own humanitarian project. It seems to be an extra non-governmental organization, and the perspective of changing the world fizzle out, due to previous experiences lead by other organizations.

“Playing for change” seen through his humanitarian aspect sums up itself as people with good intentions. Nothing more and, therefore, not believable. Only facts that bring credibility: two famous singers: Bono and Manu Chao have joined the project. Till today, playing music didn’t really change the world.

Elle est triste ta conclusion . La crédibilité d'une telle démarche ne vient pas UNIQUEMENT selon moi que des gens célèbres y participent. C'est très bien parce que ça "diffuse" le projet mais que fais tu de tous les autres chanteurs et musiciens ? Faut-il avoir un nom pour vivre ses rêves ou du moins, essayer d'en réaliser certains ?
Je suis curieuse ; quelles autres organisations ont fait la même chose que "playing for change" ?
